It’s always better when you find some good music from your hometown. Number Station are a couple of lads from our (most liveable) city of Melbourne! They’re a rockin’ Indie band who have so generously let us offer their track for free download! Now I am particularly glad that they have a new track ‘Hold On’ out, because I do remember these guys from winning Triple J Unearthed way back in ’07. It is great to see them back; it is even better to be able to see them play in the near future (Nov 2nd @ The Workers Club; according to their facebook page).
I really enjoy ‘Hold On,’ the very beginning of the song describes the entirety of it I believe. That infectious bass line sets the scene for the whole song; catchy! Everything just sounds like it has been composed and crafted perfectly, down to the tiniest sounds. The chorus is powerful and intense and had me singing along to it by the second time round. These guys definitely need to get stuff happening, because the two songs I can find just aren’t enough.
